BankAtlantic Center Ranks No. 10 In The Country

South Florida's Premier Entertainment Venue Posts Best Ranking in Building History

SUNRISE, Fla. – Trade Publication PollStar announced today that the BankAtlantic Center ranked No. 10 in the United States and No. 16 worldwide in the publication's mid-year building rankings. It marks the first time since the venue opened in 1998 that the BankAtlantic Center has placed in the Top 10 in the PollStar mid-year rankings.

"It has been a phenomenal first six months of entertainment at the BankAtlantic Center," Sunrise Sports & Entertainment chief operating officer Michael Yormark said. "These latest numbers are proof that the BankAtlantic Center continues to be the premier entertainment destination in South Florida. Moving forward we will continue to maintain an aggressive programming strategy as it is our goal to break the Top 10 in the final year-end rankings."

Additionally, Sunrise Sports & Entertainment and the BankAtlantic Center would like to thank all of our guests, without a doubt your support has made this accomplishment a reality.

Over the first half of the year the BankAtlantic Center sold out nine events and hosted six out of the top 10 tours in the world, with performances by The Rolling Stones (No. 2), Billy Joel (No. 3), Tim McGraw & Faith Hill (No. 4), Cirque Du Soleil-Delirium (No. 5), Bon Jovi (No. 7) and Kenny Chesney (No. 8). In addition, the BankAtlantic Center hosted three of the top grossing shows for the first half in The Rolling Stones, Billy Joel and Cirque Du Soleil-Delirium.

"We've put together a sensational schedule of concerts and shows for our fans during the first half of the year and have a packed lineup for the remainder of the summer and the fall," SSE Director of Event Programming Sid Greenfeig said. "Both the frequency and diversity of our events continues to position the BankAtlantic Center as the premier entertainment venue in South Florida."
