When the Panthers acquired Keith Ballard in June, not only did they get an exciting, puck-moving defenseman but, through the first dozen games of the season, their leading scorer.
And someone who’s also ready to answer your questions.
Ballard, who’s delivered on the high expectations placed on him so far in his first season with the Panthers, is now in South Florida and ready to take your questions. If you want to ask about his impressions of South Florida, his time in Minnesota, adjusting to play in another conference, his new teammates, or what he does in the summer, simply send your question to webquestions@FloridaPanthers.com
When he returns from the current road trip, Ballard will answer your questions and they will be posted at FloridaPanthers.com.
Described by his former coach Don Lucia at the University of Minnesota as a “world class kid…fearless…outstanding player,” Ballard has been all that while helping to steady the Panthers’ blue line and help the team become more aggreesive on the forecheck.
A native of Baudette, Mn., a small town of less than 1,000 people, Ballard helped the Golden Gophers to consecutive national championships in 2002-03 and was a finalist in 2004 for the Hobey Baker Memorial Award.
