EDMONTON, AB – The Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation (EOCF) announced today that the “Pets of Oil Country” MEGA 50/50 raffle is now live until October 24 in support of Dogs with Wings, the Edmonton Humane Society and Second Chance Animal Rescue Society (SCARS) – supporting people and animals through care, connection and life-changing services.

“Pets bring so much joy and companionship to our lives, and for many people, they are an important source of support,” said Myrna Khan, Executive Director, EOCF. “Through the Pets of Oil Country raffle, we’re proud to partner with the Edmonton Humane Society, Dogs with Wings and SCARS to help provide animals with the care they need, support the special bond they share with people and families across Oil Country and help those who rely on them for greater independence.”

Dogs with Wings is dedicated to empowering individuals and creating greater independence through life-changing partnerships with highly trained, accredited dogs.

"Dogs With Wings is honoured to be part of the Oilers 50/50 again this season, alongside such respected community partners,” said Greg Loveday, Chief Executive Officer, Dogs With Wings Assistance Dog Society. “Every assistance dog we place represents years of breeding, raising and training, and the impact of a single dog reaches far beyond one person into hospitals, schools, courthouses and crisis response settings across our province. Support from Oilers fans helps us keep that work going and bring more of these life-changing partnerships to the people who need them."

The Edmonton Humane Society provides care and support to animals in need, helping them on their journey toward finding safe and loving forever homes.

“We’re so grateful to have been chosen as one of the beneficiaries of this fall’s Pets of Oil Country 50/50,” said Liza Sunley, CEO, Edmonton Humane Society. “As we work toward a society where people and pets can thrive together, community support, like that from the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation — and Oil Country as a whole — helps us to enrich the lives of companion animals and the families who love them.”

SCARS helps animals in need by providing rescue, shelter and support, while connecting people with resources and services that promote animal well-being.

“We are incredibly grateful to be included in the Oilers 50/50,” said Katelyn Wilson Fundraising Coordinator. “This support will make a meaningful difference for the animals in our care and help SCARS continue providing second chances to animals and communities across Alberta.”

This raffle features signed jerseys, gift cards, Oilers tickets, a trip for two to see the Oilers International Series in Cologne, Germany, including a travel credit, a 2026 Ford Bronco and more.

Customers who purchase $100 in 50/50 tickets will receive a $25 voucher for participating Boston Pizza locations in Alberta.

In addition to the main raffle, customers can purchase tickets for the October Bonus raffle running until October 24.

The EOCF also launched its Pick to Win game, featuring a progressive jackpot, three growing cash prizes, a signed jersey and an Oilers suite experience.
