Sportsnet Gives Fans Every Moment of McDavid, Oilers in 2015-16

TORONTO (August 6, 2015) Connor, Connor and more Connor. This season Oilers fans will know where to go to catch their budding superstar and favourite team as the NHL on Sportsnet delivers all 82 Oilers regular season games in 2015-16. The Oilers’ broadcast schedule, featuring 36 national games and 46 regional games, kicks off Thursday, Oct. 8, at 6 p.m. MT / 8 p.m. ET on Sportsnet 360 when Connor McDavid makes his regular season debut on the road versus the St. Louis Blues.

Sportsnet will also broadcast one Oilers pre-season game on Thursday, Oct. 1 at 7 p.m. MT/10 p.m. ET on Sportsnet 360 as Edmonton hosts Vancouver (see full pre-season and regular season broadcast schedule below).

All national and regional Oilers games are also available on Rogers NHL GameCentre LIVE.

On TV – Regional

Sportsnet West will broadcast 46 regional Oilers games, with 15 games airing on the Sportsnet ONE companion channel – Sportsnet Oilers. The regional schedule kicks off on Tuesday, Oct. 13 as the Oilers hit the road to play the Stars in Dallas at 6:30 p.m. MT on Sportsnet Oilers.

Play-by-play commentator Kevin Quinn and analyst Drew Remenda return to the broadcast booth, while host Gene Principe reports from rinkside.

Highlights from NHL on Sportsnet’s regional Oilers schedule include:

  • 16 Pacific Division match-ups, beginning Thursday, Nov. 12 when the Oilers head to the desert to face the Arizona Coyotes at 7 p.m. MT on Sportsnet Oilers
  • Six all-Canadian matchups, including two games each against the Vancouver Canucks and Ottawa Senators and one versus the Winnipeg Jets and Toronto Maple Leafs
  • A date with the Stanley Cup champion Blackhawks in Chicago on Thursday, Dec. 17 at 8 p.m. MT on Sportsnet Oilers

On TV – National

NHL on Sportsnet will broadcast 36 national Edmonton Oilers matchups this season. Highlights from the national broadcast schedule include:

  • 15 Saturday night matchups on Hockey Night in Canada, beginning Saturday, Oct. 10 when the Oilers visit Nashville for a meeting with the Predators (channel allocations to be announced on a weekly basis)
  • Eight Scotiabank Wednesday Night Hockey broadcasts, beginning Wednesday, Oct. 21 at home vs. the Detroit Red Wings
  • 10 appearances on Rogers Hometown Hockey Sunday night on Sportsnet beginning on Sunday, Oct. 18 as the Oilers visit the Canucks in Vancouver

In addition to Sportsnet’s Edmonton Oilers regional broadcasts, Sportsnet has exclusive Canadian broadcast coverage of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, Stanley Cup Final, NHL All-Star Game, NHL Draft Lottery, NHL Draft, and the NHL Awards. Sportsnet is also the official regional television broadcast rights holder for the Calgary Flames (including radio rights on Sportsnet 960 The FAN), Vancouver Canucks, Toronto Maple Leafs (including radio rights on Sportsnet 590 The FAN) and Montreal Canadiens.
