/ Edmonton Oilers
The Edmonton Oilers have placed forward Geoff Sanderson on the National Hockey League Injured Reserve List and recalled forward Liam Reddox from the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League.
Sanderson has missed the Oilers’ last three games (December 2-5) after suffering a back injury in Edmonton’s November 30th game versus Anaheim at Rexall Place. In 26 games with the Oilers this season, Sanderson has scored 2-6-8 with 14 penalty minutes.
This will be the second recall of the season for Reddox. The 5’11”, 180-pound left winger from Whitby, Ontario was previously recalled from the Oilers’ AHL affiliate on November 15. He was a healthy scratch for three games (November 15-20) while with the Oilers before being re-assigned to Springfield following Edmonton’s November 20th game versus Vancouver.
Reddox is currently third in scoring for Springfield with 6-13-19 and has 10 penalty minutes in 22 games. He is third in both goals and assists for the Falcons and ranks second in plus/minus at +6.
