The Edmonton Oilers announced today that a second series of Oilers memorabilia will be made available to fans and collectors via the auction block starting today - Tuesday, May 23 at 2:00 p.m. Click here to view the auction!
Included in the auction are four original Championship Banners, including the Smythe Division banners from 1989/90, 1990/91 and 1991/92, as well as the Campbell Conference Championship banner from 1989/90. Additionally, the Oilers will be auctioning a series of game worn jerseys from Paul Coffey Night on October 18, 2005. Each of the jerseys features a commemorative #7 patch over the right chest, and are signed by Oilers defenceman and Hockey Hall of Fame inductee Paul Coffey. A second series of game worn jerseys come from the October 1st, 1999, Wayne Gretzky Night, and feature a facsimile Wayne Gretzky autograph patch. Other items up for bid include a full-team signed Heritage Classic stick, assorted plaques from the Oilers Dressing Room, and a one-of-a-kind team signed 2006 Playoff gicle.
The impressive collection of Championship banners, game worn memorabilia and one-of-a-kind collectibles is now available for viewing at www.edmontonoilers.com or www.nhl.com. The website will stay live for bidding through 9:00 PM on Tuesday, May 30th.
The Edmonton Oilers Auction will be hosted by NHL Auctions, with net proceeds benefiting the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation.
