The Edmonton Oilers wrap up a three-game road trip tonight in San Jose with their second meeting of the season against the Sharks.
Edmonton has picked up at least a point in each of its last four games with each of the last three going to overtime. The Oilers are in 10th in the Western Conference right now but are only a single point out of eighth spot as both the Colorado Avalanche and Minnesota Wild have 45 points.
Further up the ladder, the Oilers are five points back of Vancouver for first in the division and have a game in hand.
The Sharks started out this season on fire with a 20-7-0 record through their first 27 games but then faltered in December, going 7-7-0 in that month. They seem to be back on track now after hitting rock bottom with an 8-0 loss to Phoenix on December 30, winning three straight.
