General Manager Craig MacTavish announced today the Edmonton Oilers have agreed to terms with defenceman Taylor Fedun on a one year contract.
The 6’0”, 190-pound defenceman spent the 2012-13 season with the Oklahoma City Barons of the American Hockey League, registering 27 points (8G, 19A) and 30 penalty minutes in 70 games.
In 17 playoff games with the Barons, Fedun posted six points (3G, 3A) and six penalty minutes, while helping the Barons reach the Western Conference final for the second consecutive year.
Fedun, 25, spent four seasons with the Princeton Tigers in the ECAC, accumulating 68 points (20G, 48A), prior to signing with the Oilers in 2011. The Edmonton, Alberta native was also named to the ECAC First Team All-League for the 2010-11 season.
