LIVE BLOG: At the 2013 NHL Scouting Combine - DAY 3
/ Edmonton Oilers
After two days of intense fitness physical testing, the 2013 NHL Combine is finally over. We interviewed 19 prospects entering in this year's draft as well as Oilers General Manager, Craig MacTavish and Head Amateur Scout, Stu MacGregor. This year's draft will take place on June 30 in Newark, New Jersey with the Edmonton Oilers holding to the seventh pick overall.
Elias Lindholm spent the last two seasons in European with the Brynas IF Gavle where he had eleven goals and 30 points. Last season, he was third on the team in points with 30, led the team in powerplay goals with eight and only took one minor penalty all season.
"It's been a lot of fun."
"I played with good players and got a lot of good advice form a lot of coaches so it's been a lot of fun and a great experience. You learn something new about something everyday."
Lindholm is currently ranked third for European skaters on the NHL Central Scouting report.
It's been a lot of fun. I met all new people, seeing how their club work and hearing about their thing and it's been a lot of fun
"Hopefully the scouts and NHL scouts see that and see that I'm a good player."
When asked out his NHL readiness, Lindholm believes he needs one more year to improve.
"Tough question. I've got one more year on my contract and my plans are to stay one more year. Then we'll see what's happening and I'll see if I'm ready or what's happen."
"I have to fix my strength and also my skating. I want to be faster and win one-on-one instead of trying to get around them and not always dangle them or something like that and also my shot, I have to improve."
