The Edmonton Oilers have activated goaltender Jussi Markkanen.
The 60", 182 pound native of Imatra, Finland will be in the Oilers lineup for Saturdays game against the visiting Vancouver Canucks.
Markkanen, entering his fourth NHL season, missed the Oilers season opening 4-3 win over the Colorado Avalanche and the entire pre-season due to a fractured clavicle he suffered during the summer.
In 69 career NHL games, the 30-year-old goaltender has a 23-26-8 career record with a 2.33 goals-against average and seven shutouts. He is 15-14-7 with five shutouts and a 2.21 GAA in 43 career games with Edmonton.
