17:06: Justin Schultz takes a puck in the ear and has to head off to the room for repairs.

4:54: The Wild doubled their lead after Nino Niederreiter scooped up a rebound at the top of the crease and hammered it past the Oilers goaltender for the 2-0 lead. | MIN 2, EDM 0



3:47: After the Oilers raced out to a 4-2 shot edge, Minnesota rattled off five of the next six shots.

SECOND PERIOD

20:00: Second period has started.

19:28: After missing most of the first period, getting stitches in his ear, Justin Schultz returns to the ice.

12:32: Shots are 9-8 Wild throughout the game as the game approaches the midway point.

10:30: Scrivens comes up with an outstanding glove save on Fontaine to keep the deficit at two goals.

5:08: Shots are now 19-8 Minnesota (11-3 in the period). The game is yet to have a penalty.

4:10: Jordan Schroeder slips the puck past Scrivens to increase Minnesota's lead. | MIN 3, EDM 0

THIRD PERIOD

20:00: The third period is now underway.

18:00: Oilers come out with two shots early on in the period.

14:57: A shot by Jordan Schroeder is stopped by Scrivens but the puck slides past him. Luckily for the Oilers, it slides past the safe side of the post.

11:57: The first penalty of the game goes to Minnesota. Nate Prosser gets sent off for tripping, giving the Oilers a power play.

9:13: Oilers get a few shots during the man advantage. Shot count is 25-15 Wild as the back half of the third period continues.
