18:14: Real early on and neither team has established in the others offensive zone. 

16:42: Turnover by Petry leads to a close call by Tavares in front of Ben Scrivens.

15:10: Icing by the Edmonton. Early shot count 2-0, Oilers

14:00Hall steals the outlet pass but can't corral the puck.    

9:14: Grabovski goes one-on-one with Petry, 1 point for Petey. 

7:06: Nifty save by Jaroslav Halak, playing keep-ups with the puck. 

3:01: That's the third time Halak has had trouble handling the puck behind the net. This time Matt Hendricks (4)  benefits. | EDM 1, NYI 0



2:10: KLINKHAMMER! His first point as an Oiler with an assist on the opening marker.

Taylor Hall's line mates will hit the ice without him, as the Oilers PK gets it's first test tonight.

SECOND PERIOD

18:52: In case you were with us and not scouring Twitter, Team Canada advances to the Gold Medal game against Russia.

16:59: In disbelief Andrew Ferenece (who has an assist tonight) heads to the box. Hooking. Second PK for Oilers.  

16:19: And just like that the game is within one.  A local, you may have heard of him, Johnny Boychuk, scores. | EDM 2, NYI 1

Hendy and Klink, new partners in crime mix it up behind the net with the Islanders. 

12:09: Shots 16-11 for the Isl's

Good backcheck by Anton Lander, breaking up the two-on-one, and runing a great chance for NY.

6:26: Oilers hold the puck in the NY zone for a good 3-4 minutes there. Islanders blocking a lot of shots. 

5:00: Purcell and Roy miss a golden oppurtunity on a two-on-0.

2:27:
Nelson has been focusing on special teams, so lets see if the Oilers can make something happen on the PP.

1:23: Cizikas joins Lee in the box. 5 on 3 for 1 point two!
