20:00: Tonight's game is now underway.

18:34: Jordan Eberle and Teddy Purcell took advantage of a turnover and skated down the ice. Before they could get in position for a scoring chance, P.K. Subban slid across and took out Eberle. Subban got two minutes for tripping, giving the game's first power play to Edmonton.

12:24: Shots on goal were 5-2 for Montreal nearly eight minutes into the game.

11:15: Oilers had a great chance to score, with Habs netminder Dustin Tokarski down and out. Jordan Eberle and Teddy Purcell both had whacks at the puck but couldn't get it over the sprawled goalie.

8:50: P.K. Subban gets railroaded by Rob Klinkhammer in the Oilers end.

8:00: Shots are now 6-5 Montreal.

3:23: Christian Thomas takes advantage of an Oilers turnover in the neutral zone and wires a shot under the crossbar behind Edmonton starting goalie Viktor Fasth to make it 1-0 for the home side. The goal was the first in Thomas' NHL career. | MTL 1, EDM 0

20:00: Period two starts now. 

18:54: Montreal made it a 2-0 game. Subban spotted Alex Galchenyuk at the circle and fed him a cross-ice pass for a one timer and two-goal lead. | MTL 2, EDM 0

15:56: The Oilers got that goal back nearly three minutes later. Jeff Petry's shot from the point was deflected on its way to the net by Matt Hendricks, bouncing through the legs of Tokarski. | MTL 2, EDM 1

13:14: Martin Marincin gets sent off for tripping, sending the Habs on their first power play of the game.

5:51: Oilers did a great job keeping the puck in the zone. Eberle then carried the puck to the net. His first backhand attempt was stopped by Tokarski. Nugent-Hopkins drove the crease and pounded home the rebound. The play went under video review.

3:15: Jeff Petry gets two minutes for tripping, sending the Habs back on the power play.

20:00: The third period starts now.

18:51: There was a quick review to determine that a shot by Jeff Petry did not go into the net.

18:10: Nail Yakupov collided with Alexei Emelin at the Montreal blueline. Yakupov went down and had to be attended to.

14:07: Montreal pinned Emdonton in their zone for an extended period of time but only managed one shot. Fasth covered it for a whistle to give his skaters a breather.

13:32: Yakupov returns to the ice.

12:55: Tokarski completely robbed Gazdic, sticking out his right pad to deny the Oilers winger who looked like he had a wide-open net on the rebound.

12:12: Montreal's Tomas Plekanec heads to the penalty box, giving the Oilers a chance to continue their recently-regained momentum.

11:51: 28 seconds into the power play, Nugent-Hopkins closes his hand on the puck and is sent to the box.

10:43: While the two teams were four-on-four, Max Pacioretty stole the puck from Oscar Klefbom at the point and barrelled down the right side. Pacioretty wired a shot high to put the Habs back in front. | MTL 3, EDM 2

9:51: Tokarski sprawled out to make a huge save on Matt Hendricks after the Oilers winger chased a rebound but couldn't lift it over the Montreal goalie.

7:54: Nail Yakupov took advantage of a turnover and streaked down the ice with Ryan Hamilton. Yakupov fed Hamilton who tried to tap it in but Tokarski again got a piece of it before the puck rang off the post. Shots on goal are now 32-24 for Edmonton (12-4 in the period).

3:15: Tomas Plekanec received two minutes for closing his hand on the puck off the face-off, giving Edmonton a late power play chance to tie the game.

25.0: With 25 seconds to play, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins scored his second of the game to tie it. He spun and shot to get the last-minute marker and send the game into overtime. | EDM 3, MTL 3

0.0: Shots after three periods were 35-25 for Edmonton.


5:00: The extra frame is underway.

3:13: Anton Lander pounces on the puck in the crease and pokes it past Tokarski to give the Oilers the 4-3 overtime win. | EDM 4, MTL 3
