The third period is now underway.

14:42: Yann Danis slides across to make a nice stop off Howden on a Rampage two-on-one.

12:26: Paajarvi slides back to D as Justin Schultz plays deep in the Rampage end for a shift with Eberle and Nugent-Hopkins.

3:50: With time winding down in the third period, the shot count in the game is 31 to 15 for Oklahoma City.

1:18: Hartikainen takes a tripping penalty. Markstrom is pulled for the extra attacker 20 seconds later to put San Antonio on a six-on-four power play with a minute to play. 

27.8: Justin Schultz scores an empty-net goal from his own end of the ice to seal the deal for the Barons. | OKC 5, SA 2


The second period is now underway.

15:35: San Antonio ties the game with a nice passing play as Quinton Howden threads a pass over to Greg Rallo in the slot. His redirection makes it just past the outstretched pad of Danis. | OKC 2, SA 2

13:45: Nugent-Hopkins makes a no-look pass over to Colten Teubert whose blast from the high slot is scooped up by Markstrom. With Josh Green still not on the bench due to an injury suffered in the first period, Magnus Paajarvi is taking turns with Eberle and RNH on the top line.

9:35: Schultz continues his dominance with an amazing pass across the slot right on the stick of Teemu Hartikainen. Teemu has a wide open net and makes no mistake. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins gets the second assist for his first point of the season. | OKC 3, SA 2 | WATCH THE GOAL

4:00: The Barons continue to send wave-after-wave of attackers against San Antonio but can't solve Markstrom. Shot count at this point is 22 to 10 for OKC.

1:30: Nugent-Hopkins makes a backhand pass to Eberle in front. His shot goes through Markstrom and gives the Barons a 4-2 lead. | OKC 4, SA 2 | WATCH THE GOAL

0:00: The second period comes to an end. Barons take a 4-2 lead in the period and outshoot San Antonio 26-10 after 40.

19:35: Jon Rheault takes a holding the stick penalty to put the Barons on their first power play of the game. The team has several quality chances but is unable to put the puck in the net.

15:22: San Antonio strikes for the first goal of the game. James Wright picks up the puck just outside the Barons crease and slips it past Yann Danis. | SA 1, OKC 0

14:32: Martin Marincin takes a tripping penalty, putting the Barons down a man for the first time on the night.

11:20: Eberle nearly ties the game after making a move in the slot and backhanding the puck just past the far post.

9:29: After a nice rush up ice by Teemu Hartikainen and Magnus Paajarvi that results in a broken play, San Antonio comes back the other way but Danis makes a nice glove save on the shot from the right circle by Jason DeSantis.

9:19: Martin Marincin pinches in to take a thread-the-needle pass from Hartikainen before deking out Jacob Markstrom for the Barons' first goal on home ice this season. | OKC 1, SA 1 | WATCH THE GOAL

5:12: What a shot! Justin Schultz sizes up the net from the right faceoff circle and just wires it above the blocker of Markstrom. The goal was shorthanded, coming with seconds left in a Tyler Pitlick minor. | OKC 2, SA 1 | WATCH THE GOAL

3:45: Josh Green heads to the dressing room with an injury. Teemu Hartikainen takes his place on the top line with Eberle and Nugent-Hopkins.

0:00: First period ends with Barons up 2-1 and outshooting San Antonio 10-8.

The Oklahoma City Barons take on the San Antonio Rampage for their third game of the season and first at home. We'll be updating the action from the game as it happens. We'll also be adding photos, videos from big plays and more throughout the game.
