Edmonton Oilers Hockey School Returns This Summer!

by Staff Writer / Edmonton Oilers
This summer, the school bell will ring for three additional weeks of fun and fitness as Edmonton Oilers Hockey School, run in conjunction with Okanagan Hockey Schools, returns to Servus Credit Union Place in St. Albert.

Edmonton Oilers Hockey School will run from July 27th – August 16th, 2008, giving students the opportunity to experience NHL caliber training while further developing their minor hockey game. Each week-long session is open to young hockey players, both male and female, between the ages of 8-16, and will feature comprehensive on-ice sessions, the newest off-ice training techniques, core strength exercises, and seminars ranging from motivation to nutrition. With both on-ice and dry land sessions, students will learn what it takes to be a pro, while also having fun. Plus, a few special guests will drop by the rink during the week, including Oilers players and coaches.

"If you dream of playing in the NHL, and maybe one day tugging on an Oilers jersey, it’s never too early to begin your development as a player," said Kevin Lowe, General Manager of the Edmonton Oilers. "Edmonton Oilers Hockey School is the perfect introduction to some of the special skills and attitudes necessary to continue moving towards your hockey goal."

Last summer, Edmonton Oilers Hockey School sold out, and space is limited for each of the three week-long summer sessions. For more information, or to register online, log onto .
