|Ornaments of Hope raised nearly $150,000.
Edmonton, AB – The Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation and the Oilers Ladies have raised $149,379 through their Ornaments of Hope program presented by ATB Financial. The net proceeds of this campaign will benefit the Christmas Bureau and the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation.
Oilers fans stepped up tonight at Rexall Place purchasing 5,000 Oilers hand autographed ornaments which raised $100,000. An additional $49,397 was also raised over the last three weeks through the Ornaments of Hope Online Auction which featured 85 items ranging from Oilers memorabilia, Oilers autographed game-worn equipment to vintage Boys on the Bus pieces.
“This holiday season Oilers fans have been exceptionally generous with their support of Ornaments of Hope,” said Natalie Minckler, EOCF’s Executive Director. “We are delighted to do our part in supporting the Christmas Bureau as they provide festive meals to Edmonton’s less fortunate.”
Oilers fans have a final opportunity to support Ornaments of Hope, simply visit an Edmonton Area ATB Financial branch and purchase a raffle ticket for your chance to win a set of team signed ornaments. Each branch will be giving away one full set and the proceeds will also support the Christmas Bureau. Raffle tickets are one for $5 or five for $20 and can be purchased until December 24.
