BLOG: Oilers assign Lander to OKC

by Chris Wescott / Edmonton Oilers
The Oilers have assigned forward Anton Lander to the Oklahoma City Barons in the American Hockey League. Lander played 16:37 in his season debut for the Oilers. He finished the game -2 with six shots, four hits and was 69% in the faceoff dot. He missed a shootout attempt.

“I thought he played well,” Oilers interim coach Todd Nelson said. “He put some pucks on the net, he was pretty good in the faceoff dot and I thought he felt pretty comfortable out there tonight.”

Lander returns to an OKC team where he is not only the captain, but one of the top scorers. In 26 games, Lander has 27 points (8-19-27).
