The Edmonton Oilers are set to begin a tough road schedule that consists primarily of Eastern Conference opponents. 13 of their next 15 opponents are members of the NHL's Eastern Conference. The only two games in that stretch that are from the west are the Los Angeles Kings on October 27, and the Phoenix Coyotes on October 26.
After Thursday's game at home against Montreal, the team will play their next six on the road.
The month of October will be played mostly on the road with only five of their 14 games this month being played in Edmonton.
