Shirlene Cuaresma has over 25 years of experience in the hospitality and tourism industry. Her journey included two years as a Business Development Account Manager in the Technology and Innovation Sector with Explore Edmonton. During this time, she built and strengthened relationships with leading education and research institutions in Edmonton, successfully securing international conferences in competition with other major North American cities. Her diverse background has led her to develop and lead impactful activations, cultivate meaningful community relationships, and execute strategic fundraising initiatives.

What inspires you to make a difference in Oil Country?
“I had the opportunity to collaborate with the YMCA to include a Hockey Experience Day during their Summer Camps. To be involved in programs where the EOCF can make an impact on kids across Oil Country really inspires me to do more.”
