Myrna Khan
Executive Director
Myrna Khan has more than 30 years of experience advancing initiatives across government, business and community sectors. She has held senior leadership roles with the United Way of the Alberta Capital Region, the City of Edmonton and MacEwan University, where she helped secure major funding and led strategic growth initiatives. A lifelong Edmonton Oilers fan, Khan is the Executive Director of the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation and launched Every Kid Deserves a Shot, with the goal of inspiring and impacting 100,000 kids across Oil Country through the power and spirit of hockey. She holds a BSc with distinction from the University of Alberta and an MBA from McGill University and Copenhagen Business School.
What’s your most memorable Oilers moment?
“Watching the Oilers win their first Stanley Cup in 1984 on TV with my family, I cried happy tears.”
What drives you to make an impact in Oil Country and in the lives of kids?
“What drives me is knowing that every kid deserves opportunity, encouragement and support to reach their full potential. Seeing how our programs, especially Every Kid Deserves a Shot, can inspire confidence and joy across Oil Country motivates me every day to keep making a difference for those who need it most.”
