Jess Thomson is the Director of Development for the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation and brings more than 20 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, with a career dedicated to advancing social impact through strategic partnerships and community investment. Jess has led large-scale revenue and community engagement strategies across education, sport, and community organizations, with a focus on building partnerships that align purpose with measurable community impact across Alberta.
Jess holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Graduate Certificate in Innovation and is known for blending business strategy with mission-driven work—connecting corporate, philanthropic, and community partners to initiatives that create meaningful and lasting outcomes for youth and families. She is passionate about leveraging the power of sport, innovation, and collaboration to remove barriers and create opportunity, and is proud to support the Foundation’s work across Oil Country.
