Funding Requests

The EOCF is a registered charity dedicated to improving the quality of life in Edmonton and the region while making our communities better while fostering a culture of "giving back".

Our activities, programs and funding decisions are focused on the following target groups and areas:

1) Programs aimed at those most vulnerable in our community, especially in Edmonton's downtown,

2) Investing in the community through hockey, with specific focus on youth hockey programming to increase participation of under-represented groups in our community.

The Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation is currently accepting applications for funding until March 10, 2021.

Applications must be received by e-mail to oilersfoundation@edmontonoilers.com BEFORE March 10, 2021 and should include the following:

  • Complete contact information and registered charitable number
  • Outline of organization's mission and mandate
  • Detailed project description including timeline
  • How the program you are requesting funding for aligns with the EOCF mandate of:

1) Programs aimed at those most vulnerable in our community, especially in Edmonton's downtown,

2) Investing in the community through hockey, with specific focus on youth hockey programming to increase participation of under-represented groups in our community.

  • Measurable outcomes including how many people will benefit and the potential impact on the community
  • How will you know if your program is successful?
  • Exact funding amount requested and detailed budget for the project
  • Is your organization eligible to receive gaming funds, as per AGLC requirements? Yes or No
  • Recognition opportunities for the EOCF

Please note that the following areas/groups are precluded from support by the EOCF:

  • Minor sport associations and teams
  • Organizations not located in Northern or Central Alberta
  • Sponsorship of events
  • Prizing or giveaways
  • Religious or fraternal organizations
  • Individuals
  • Political causes or candidates
  • Advertising
  • Endowment funds
  • Third-party fundraising (defined as an event put on by one community group or organization for the benefit of another group or charitable organization)
  • Capital campaigns
  • Playground projects
