Zador stops 37 and Padulo scores twice as Generals win 3-0 over Erie @NHLdotcom

OSHAWA, Ont. - Michael Zador made 37 saves and John Padulo scored twice as the Oshawa Generals blanked the Erie Otters 3-0 on Friday night in Ontario Hockey League action.

Zador, a Tampa Bay Lightning draft pick, made his first start in five games after being pulled in the Generals' home opener Oct. 1. He made 10 saves through a scoreless first period before Padulo scored a pair in the second to give the Generals the lead for good.

Jeff Brown added an insurance goal in the third for the Generals (3-3-2-0), and Zador made 21 saves in the period to preserve the shutout.

Tony DeHart, Nick Esposto, Victor Terreri, Alain Berger and Boone Jenner each had an assist.

Shane Owen stopped 38 shots for Erie (2-4-1-1).
