LEWISTON, Maine - Mark Yetman came within four minutes of a shutout, stopping 37 shots as the Halifax Mooseheads climbed back on top of the QMJHL's East Division on Tuesday with a 3-1 win over the Lewiston Maineiacs.
Yetman's only mistake came on an unassisted short-handed goal from Stefan Chaput at the 16-minute mark of the third period. Yetman's performance propelled the Mooseheads (38-19-0-5) to their second straight win, and a one-point advantage over the Saint John Sea Dogs atop the East Division standings.
Jakub Voracek's 30th goal of the season on a second-period power play stood as the game winner for Halifax, while Guillaume Monast and Yuri Cheremetiev had singles.
Peter Delmas stopped 30 shots for the Maineiacs (32-23-4-2), who sit fifth in the East.
