Yakupov scores twice as Sarnia Sting beat Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds 5-1 @NHLdotcom

SAULT STE. MARIE, Ont. - Nail Yakupov scored twice and Brandon Maxwell made 29 saves as the Sarnia Sting beat the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds 5-1 on Wednesday night in the Ontario Hockey League.

Sarnia's top line of Yakupov, Charles Sarault and Ludvig Rensfeldt combined for seven points in the win. Besides Yakupov's pair, Rensfeldt had a goal and an assist and Sarault set up three goals.

Jack Nevins, with his first Ontario Hockey League goal, and Craig Hottot also scored for Sarnia (10-2-2).

Colin Miller scored the lone goal for the Greyhounds (9-5-0).

Overage goaltender Brandon Maxwell stopped 29 shots for Sarnia.

Greyhounds goaltender Matt Murray stopped 20 shots.
