Windsor Spitfires defeat Kitchner Rangers 6-2 in Ontario Hockey League play @NHLdotcom

WINDSOR, Ont. - Greg Nemisz scored twice to lift the Windsor Spitfires to a 6-2 win over the Kitchener Rangers in Ontario Hockey League action Thursday night.

Scott Timmins, acquired from the Rangers last season, opened the scoring for the Spitfires (43-8-5) in the first period.

Nemisz, Adam Wallace and Cam Fowler all scored in the second period to put the Spitfires up 4-0.

Matthew Tipoff and John Moore replied for the Rangers (34-16-4).

Nemisz scored his second goal of the game with just over a minute left in the second to give the Spitfires a three-goal cushion heading into the final period.

Ryan Ellis sealed the deal for Windsor with 98 seconds left in the game.

Philipp Grubauer made 16 saves for the Spitfires while Brandon Maxwell stopped 40 shots for the Rangers.
