WHL Roundup: Blades score three times in third period to beat Warriors @NHLdotcom

SASKATOON - A big third period was the difference for the Saskatoon Blades.

The Blades scored three times in the final 20 minutes to get past the Moose Jaw Warriors 5-2 on Tuesday night in Western Hockey League action.

Ryan Graham led the offensive charge with a goal and two assists for Saskatoon (5-9-0). Adam Henry, Cameron Hebig, Austin Adamson and Sam McKechnie rounded out the attack.

Brayden Point struck twice for the Warriors (6-8-1).

Nik Amundrud kicked out 30 shots for the win while Zach Sawchenko made 29 saves for Moose Jaw.

The Blades converted twice on six chances while the Warriors were 1 for 4.



CRANBROOK, B.C. ? Nick McBride turned away 29 shots to record the shutout for Prince Albert over Kootenay.

Craig Leverton, Josh Morrissey, Tim Vanstone, Jayden Hart and Dyland Stewart all had goals for the Raiders (6-8-0).

Wyatt Hoflin made 41 saves for the Ice (3-12-0) in the loss.



RED DEER, Alta. ? Austin Strand, Meyer Nell and Grayson Pawlenchuk all had second-period goals to lead the Rebels past first-place Medicine Hat.

Wyatt Johnson and Devan Fafard supplied the remainder of the Red Deer (6-7-1) offence.

Tyler Lewington, Steven Owre and Cole Sanford all found the back of the net for the Tigers (11-2-1).



VICTORIA ??? Ryan Pilon scored his third of the year at 11:34 of the third period to lift Brandon over the Royals.

Richard Nejezchleb and Duncan Campbell also chipped in for the Wheat Kings (11-3-1).

Travis Brown and Axel Blomqvist supplied the offence for Victoria (8-7-1).
