WHL Roundup: Baillie scores three times, leads Rockets to 6-3 win over Broncos @NHLdotcom

SWIFT CURRENT, Sask. - Tyson Baillie added to his league-leading point toal with three goals as the Kelowna Rockets doubled up the Swift Current Broncos 6-3 on Tuesday in Western Hockey League action.

Baillie now has 21 goals and 54 points in 32 games to lead all WHL skaters.

Kole Lind, Tanner Wishnowski and Riley Stadel also scored for the Rockets (24-7-1) and Dillon Dube chipped in with two assists.

Jon Martin ? with his league-high 26th goal of the year ? Scott Feser and Mark Taraschuk supplied the offence for the Broncos (10-18-4).

Kelowna's Michael Herringer made 27 saves for the win as Landon Bow turned away 19-of-23 shots for Swift Current.

The Rockets went 1 for 5 on the power play while the Broncos failed to score on four chances with the man advantage.



REGINA ? Colin Shirley's second-period goal stood up as the winner and Connor Ingram made 39 saves as Kamloops beat the Pats for its third win in a row.

Garret Pilon, Matt Needham and Gage Quinney also scored for the Blazers (15-10-4) as Shirley and Pilon each added an assist.

Chase Harrison, Sam Steel and Adam Brooks found the back of the net for Regina (15-14-4). Tyler Brown kicked out 27-of-31 shots in a losing cause.



PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. ??? Justin Gutierrez had a goal and two assists and Stuart Skinner made 37 saves as Lethrbidge handed the Raiders their third straight loss.

Tyler Wong, Giorgio Estephan, Egor Babenko and Brady Reagan also scored for the Hurricanes (21-11-0).

Jordan Tkatch led the Raiders' (18-11-3) offence with two goals and an assist while Jesse Lees and Parker Kelly added the others. Rylan Parenteau stopped 22 shots in defeat.



EDMONTON ??? Matt Rassel scored the winner at 18:25 of the third period as Medicine Hat slipped past the Oil Kings for its third straight victory.

Matt Bradley also scored for the Tigers (11-18-3) as Nick Schneider made 26 saves for the win in net.

Jesse Roach struck for Edmonton (13-18-3), which is on a four-game skid. Patrick Dea kicked out 30-of-32 shots in a losing cause.



CRANBROOK, B.C. ??? Colton Bobyk scored once and set up two more as Red Deer dealt Kootenay its 10th loss in a row.

Evan Polei, Wyatt Johnson and Adam Musil also scored for the Rebels (22-11-0), who got a 29-save outing from Rylan Toth.

Austin Wellsby and Dallas Hines responded for the Ice (6-26-2). Wyatt Hoflin turned aside 27-of-30 shots in defeat.



KENT, Wash. ??? Jesse Gabriel had two goals and an assist and Jansen Harkins added three helpers as Prince George toppled Seattle.

Chase Witala, Colby McAuley, Bartek Bison and Jared Bethune also scored for the Cougars (20-10-2) as Ty Edmonds made 26 saves in net.

Ethan Baer found the back of the net twice for the Thunderbirds (18-11-2). Logan Flodell turned away 27-of-33 shots in a losing effort.



KENNEWICK, Wash. ??? Jordan Topping had a pair of goals and Tri-City held on after giving up a four-goal first-period lead to beat Portland.

Jordan Roy, Tyler Sandhu, Brian William and Parker Wotherspoon also scored for the Americans (13-18-1). Evan Sarthough made 20 saves for the victory.

Alex Schoenborn, Blake Heinrich, Cody Glass and Dominic Turgeon had second-period goals for the Winterhawks (15-16-0) to tie the game before giving up two in the third. Michael Bullion stopped 23 shots in defeat.
