WHL Roundup: A look at Saturday's games @NHLdotcom

Dylan Wruck scored two goals and added an assist as the Edmonton Oil Kings completed a two-game road sweep of the Prince George Cougars on Saturday with a 4-2 win in Western Hockey League play.

The 20-year-old winger now has seven goals and 22 points in 17 games, which is good for third in team scoring.

Keegan Lowe and David Musil also scored for the Oil Kings (13-5-3) and Michael St. Croix added three assists.

St. Croix now has 12 goals and 29 points in 21 games, which leads his club.

Tanner Lishchynsky and Jarrett Fontaine scored for the Cougars (7-10-2), who have dropped four games straight.

Tristan Jarry made 21 saves for the win while Mac Engel stopped 30 shots in a losing cause.

Edmonton went 0 for 1 on the power play while Prince George failed to score on three chances with the man advantage.

The Oil Kings beat the Cougars 4-2 on Friday as well.

Elsewhere in the WHL, it was: Regina 4, Lethbridge 0; Swift Current 4, Prince Albert 1; Seattle 6, Saskatoon 2; Moose Jaw 4, Kootenay 1; Victoria 5, Medicine Hat 3; Portland 9, Spokane 1; and Tri-City 4, Kamloops 2.

At Prince George, B.C., Lishchynsky opened the scoring for the Cougars 3:56 into the game.

Musil responded for the Oil Kings at 13:21, but Fontaine scored with 35 seconds left in the period to make it 2-1 Prince George after 20 minutes of play.

Wruck and Lowe scored back-to-back in the second period to give Edmonton a 3-2 lead heading into the final period.

Wruck added an empty-net goal with 18 seconds remaining to secure the victory.

At Regina, Dyson Stevenson scored three times and set up one more and Matt Hewitt stopped all 32 shots he faced as the Pats (9-12-1) blanked Lethbridge (12-8-2), which had its four-game winning streak halted.


Broncos 4 Raiders 1

At Swift Current, Sask., Eetu Laurikainen stopped 23-of-24 shots and Graham Black and Ryon Moser each had a goal and an assist as the Broncos (8-9-5) beat Prince Albert (13-6-2).


Thunderbirds 6 Blades 2

At Saskatoon, Alexander Delnov scored twice and Brandon Glover made 30 saves as Seattle (9-10-1) picked up its sixth road win of the season by downing the Blades (8-10-1).


Warriors 4 Ice 1

At Cranbrook, B.C., Justin Paulic stopped 25 shots and Joel Edmundson's first-period goal stood up as the winner as Moose Jaw (8-8-6) ended a seven-game slide by downing Kootenay (4-12-1), which has now lost eight straight games.


Royals 5 Tigers 3

At Medicine Hat, Alta., Logan Nelson scored three times and Patrik Polivka stopped 29 shots as Victoria (10-10-0) snapped its six-game losing streak by defeating the Tigers (11-10-1).


Winterhawks 9 Chiefs 1

At Spokane, Wash., nine Portland players recorded a multi-point game including Oliver Bjorkstrand, who had two goals and an assist, and Mac Carruth made 43 saves as the Winterhawks (15-3-1) crushed the Chiefs (14-7-0).


Americans 4 Blazers 2

At Kennewick, Wash., Justin Feser scored once and set up two more and Mitch Topping had a goal and an assist as Tri-City (13-7-2) doubled up Kamloops (17-4-1), which has lost its last three outings.
