The Spokane Chiefs fell behind for the fifth straight game, but this time it didn't take a last minute rally for them to chalk up another win.

Dominik Uher scored the game winner as the Chiefs (7-2-1) won their sixth straight game, and seventh straight at home, with a 3-2 comeback win over the Everett Silvertips in Western Hockey League action Saturday.

The Chiefs are off to their best start since they won their first 10 games of the season 10 years ago.

Uher scored the winner for the second straight game, but instead of waiting until the third period he got it late in the second. It was his fourth goal of the season and it came after defenceman Tanner Mort flipped the puck out front from behind net.

Everett's 16-year old rookie goalie Austin Lotz faced 43 shots, while Mac Engel faced 22 in the Spokane net.

Elsewhere in the WHL, it was: Kootenay 2, Moose Jaw 1; Brandon 4, Lethbridge 2; Regina 4, Prince Albert 1; Kamloops 2, Medicine Hat 1; Red Deer 2, Portland 1; Tri-City 1, Prince George 0 and Victoria 3, Kelowna 2.

At Spokane, Wash., Ryan Harrison scored his fourth goal at 4:30 of the first period and Boyd added his first at 5:43 as Everett (2-7-2) grabbed an early lead.

Steven Kuhn got the Chiefs on the board midway through the first by cleaning up a rebound from the crease.

Early in the second period, rookie Liam Stewart whacked a puck out of the air to tie the game. It was the first WHL point for the son of rock icon Rod Stewart and super model Rachel Hunter.

Uher's goal came at 16:54 and allowed the Chiefs to match the second-longest season-opening winning streak.
