Wheat Kings take 2-1 series lead over Hitmen in WHL playoffs @NHLdotcom

WINNIPEG - Kevin Sundher had a goal and an assist as the Brandon Wheat Kings defeated the Calgary Hitmen 4-1 in Western Hockey League playoff action Sunday.

Brandon leads the best-of-seven Eastern Conference quarter-final 2-1. Game 4 is Tuesday in Brandon.

Bruno Mraz, Mike Ferland and Eric Roy also scored for the Wheat Kings.

Greg Chase replied for the Hitmen.

Corbin Boes made 26 saves for Brandon, while Brandon Glover stopped 38 shots for Calgary.

The game was played at Winnipeg's MTS Centre.
