Walser gets call from Syracuse @NHLdotcom

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -The Columbus Blue Jackets added defenseman Derrick Walser to the roster on emergency recall from their American Hockey League affiliate in Syracuse on Monday.

Walser has appeared in two games with Columbus in 2006-07 and spent parts of three seasons with the Blue Jackets from 2001-04. He has six goals and 21 assists in 84 career NHL games.

He has nine goals and 25 assists in 47 AHL games this season.

Walser was acquired from Carolina on Nov. 29 in a trade that sent defenseman Mark Flood to the Hurricanes.
