Tyson Ness leads Red Deer Rebels past Regina Pats 3-2 @NHLdotcom

REGINA - Tyson Ness had a goal and an assist to lead the Red Deer Rebels to a 3-2 win over the Regina Pats in the Western Hockey League on Wednesday.

Chad Robinson scored the winner while shorthanded for the Rebels (29-28-6), while Brooks Maxwell added a goal of his own.

Jordan Weal and Dominik Volek scored for Regina (33-24-7), both on the power play. Picking up an assist on each was Dyson Stevenson.

After a scoreless first Ness opened the scoring less than a minute into the second with an unassisted wristshot from the top of the face off circle.

The two point keep Red Deer's playoff hopes alive.
