Thomas Heemskerk made a game-saving stop and the Everett Silvertips beat the Medicine Hat Tigers 3-1 in Western Hockey League action Tuesday.

Heemskerk made a lunging save on Jace Coyle during a Medicine Hat power play to maintain Everett's slim 2-1 lead. Elsewhere in the WHL, Saskatoon edged Moose Jaw 2-1 and Tri-City beat Kamloops 8-3.

At Medicine Hat, Alta., Shane Harper, Byron Froese and Scott MacDonald scored for Everett to back Heemskerk's 25-save performance.

Bretton Cameron replied for Medicine Hat, while Tyler Bunz made 16 saves.

At Saskatoon, Adam Morrison made 33 saves as the Blades edged Moose Jaw.

At Kamloops, B.C., defenceman Drydn Dow scored his first two Western Hockey League goals, helping Tri-City beat Kamloops.
