Tri-City forward Reece named Western Hockey League player of the week @NHLdotcom

CALGARY - Tri-City Americans forward Jason Reese was named Western Hockey League player of the week Monday after recording three goals and four assists in three games.

Reese added a plus-three rating as the Americans went 2-1 last week.

Reese, who is eligible for the 2008 NHL draft, had two assists and the shootout winner in Wednesday's 5-4 win over Brandon. The 19-year-old native of Gresham, Ore., added a hat trick and an assist in Friday's 5-1 win over Portland and had an assist on the only Tri-City goal in Saturday's 2-1 loss to Everett.
