Thrashers score three third-period goals to rally for 3-1 win over Hurricanes @NHLdotcom

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - Ilya Kovalchuk, Marian Hossa and Eric Boulton scored third-period goals as the Atlanta Thrashers rallied to beat the Carolina Hurricanes 3-1 on Tuesday night.

The Thrashers snapped a four-game losing streak with the win. Hossa got the go-ahead score with a rising slapshot from just inside the Carolina blue-line with 2:24 left in the game. Boulton added the insurance goal with just over a minute left in regulation.

Carolina blew a lead going into the third for the first time all season. Rod Brind'Amour had given the Hurricanes a 1-0 lead with 2:34 left in the second.

Hossa tied the score with the Thrashers' seventh short-handed goal.
