Teichmann makes 27 saves to lead the Otters over the Sting 5-3 @NHL

ERIE, Pa. - Tyson Teichmann stopped 27 shots to help the Erie Otters defeat the Sarnia Sting 5-3 on Friday in Ontario Hockey League action.

Anthony Cortellessa had a goal and an assist for the Otters (5-27-2) while Liam Maaskant, Stephen Harper, Nick Betz and Connor Brown added singles.

Nail Yakupov and Brett Thompson each had a goal and an assist for the Sting (19-10-5) as Jack Nevins rounded out the scoring with a single goal.

Brandon Maxwell stopped 29 shots in defeat.

Both teams were successful on the power play as Erie went 3-for-8 and Sarnia 2-for-5.

Teichmann, who improved to 1-13-0 on the season, won for the first time since defeating the Kitchener Rangers last March 5th while still a member of the Belleville Bulls.
