Taylor Procyshen scores twice as Americans beat Chiefs 6-1 @NHLdotcom

KENNEWICK, Wash. - Taylor Procyshen scored a pair of goals and rookie goalie Brett Martyniuk won his first start at home as the Tri-City Americans beat the Spokane Chiefs 6-1 Wednesday night.

Mitch Fadden, Mason Wilgosh, Brendan Shinnimin and Spencer Asuchak also scored for the Americans. Jared Spurgeon had the lone goal for Spokane, which now trails Tri-City by five points in the U.S. Division standings at 22-12-0-3.

Martyniuk made 27 saves as Tri-City improved to 25-10-0-2.

Chiefs goalie James Reid stopped 18 shots for the loss.
