TORONTO - The struggling Toronto Maple Leafs are turning to their third goalie to try and get a victory.
Joey MacDonald will start Tuesday's game against the Colorado Avalanche. He's the third different goalie to start for the 0-4-1 team this season.
MacDonald started the season in the American Hockey League. He has been serving as Vesa Toskala's backup since last week when Jonas Gustavsson went on injured reserve with a groin injury.
Toskala was in goal for Toronto's 7-2 loss in New York on Monday night and didn't participate in the morning skate Tuesday.
