Stretch scores in overtime as Blazers defeat Winterhawks 4-3 @NHLdotcom

PORTLAND, Ore. - C.J. Stretch scored in overtime to help the Kamloops Blazers defeat the Portland Winterhawks 4-3 in Western Hockey League play on Wednesday night.

Stretch scored on a breakaway at the 2:01 mark of the overtime. Jordan DePape, with a short-handed goal, Chase Schaber, and Brendan Ranford also scored for Kamloops (25-24-6).

Nino Neiderreiter scored on the power play, and Riley Boychuk and Oliver Gabriel scored even strength for Portland (32-20-3). Boychuk and Gabriel also added an assist each.

Blazers goalie Kurtis Mucha made 45 saves, while Portland's Mac Carruth stopped 23 shots.
