CALGARY - Michael Stone scored the shootout winner to lead the Calgary Hitmen to a 4-3 win over the Lethbridge Hurricanes in Western Hockey League action Saturday night.
Stone blasted a slap shot from the hash marks into the top corner past Lethbridge goalie Juha Metsola to propel the Hitmen (17-4-1-0) to their fourth straight victory. Brett Sonne scored once and set up another for Calgary, while Brandon Kozun and Ian Schultz also notched goals.
Zach Boychuk had a goal and an assist for the Hurricanes (9-8-0-1), while Colton Sceviour and Carter Ashton also scored.
Hitmen goalie Martin Jones made 16 saves during the game and two more in the shootout, while his Lethbridge counterpart Juha Metsola stopped 35 shots in a losing cause.
