Stars send Campbell, Oleksiak to AHL, return Faksa @NHLdotcom

First-round picks Jack Campbell and Jamie Oleksiak were among 26 players sent by the Dallas Stars to their American Hockey League affiliate, the Texas Stars, on Friday.

Campbell, a goalie chosen with the 11th pick of the 2010 NHL Draft, went 21-15-7 with a 3.46 goals-against average and .896 save percentage in 54 games with the Windsor Spitfires and Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds of the Ontario Hockey League. In 12 AHL games with Texas, he went 4-7-0 with a 3.02 GAA and .912 save percentage.

Oleksiak, a defenseman taken with the 14th pick of the 2011 NHL Draft, had 12 goals and 20 assists in 59 games with the Saginaw Spirit and Niagara IceDogs of the Ontario Hockey League.

Also sent to the AHL were forwards Alex Chiasson, Cody Eakin, Matt Fraser, Luke Gazdic, Scott Glennie, Tristan King, Travis Morin, Toby Petersen, Antoine Roussel, Colton Sceviour, Austin Smith, Reilly Smith, Mathieu Tousignant, Tomas Vincour and Francis Wathier; defensemen Jordie Benn, Jace Coyle, Brendon Dillon, Maxime Fortunas, Hubert Labrie, Patrik Nemeth and Tyler Sloan; and goalies Tyler Bekorowany and Christopher Nilstorp.

The Stars also sent five players back to their junior teams, among them 2012 first-round pick Radek Faksa, who was returned to the Kitchener Rangers of the Ontario Hockey League.

Also sent back to their junior teams were goalie Maxime Lagace (PEI, QMJHL), and forwards Brett Ritchie (Niagara, OHL), Matej Stransky (Saskatoon, WHL), and defenseman Troy Vance (Victoriaville, QMJHL).
