Stars activate Zubov for 1st game after All-Star break

DALLAS (AP) -The Stars activated defenseman Sergei Zubov from injured reserve Thursday and he is expected to play Friday against Pittsburgh, the first game after the All-Star break.

Zubov missed three games after elbow surgery Jan. 12.

He is the highest-scoring Russian defenseman in NHL history with 708 points in 978 career games. This season, he has seven goals and 23 assists for 30 points in 44 games.

The 36-year-old won Stanley Cups with the Stars in 1999 and the New York Rangers in 1994.

The Stars also recalled winger Krys Barch from Iowa of the AHL. He made his NHL debut earlier this month.
