Spooner's goal completes comeback as Petes rally to beat Attack

PETERBOROUGH, Ont. - Ryan Spooner scored the winning goal with 4:03 left in the third period as the Peterborough Petes rallied from a 3-0 deficit to defeat the Owen Sound Attack 5-4 in Ontario Hockey League action Thursday.

The rookie also added two assists for the Petes (15-18-0-1) while Pat Daley had a goal and two assists. Tony Romano, Adam Sedlak and had the other Petes' goals and Jamie Doornbosch two assists.

Steven Shipley, Joshua Ocampo and Josh Moes staked Owen Sound (11-12-4-3) to a 3-0 lead before the Petes fired three in a row to tie it.

Marcus Carroll's goal with 32 seconds left in the second put the Attack up 4-3 after 40 minutes.

Ryan Daniels stopped 41 shots for the win while Tyler Beskorowany made 37 saves in a losing cause.
