Spence stops 42 to lead Sarnia to a 4-1 victory over the Erie Otters @NHL

ERIE, Pa. - Dan Spence had 42 saves and the Sarnia Sting overcame an early deficit to defeat the Erie Otters 4-1 on Saturday night in the Ontario Hockey League.

Daniel Lombardi and Marcus Pepe scored in the first period as Sarnia (13-14-2-2) snapped a five-game losing streak. Pepe's goal came with nine seconds left to give the Sting a 2-1 lead. Mark Katik and Matt Martin scored in the second period.

Jaroslav Janus allowed four goals in 16 shots to take the loss. Justin Hodgman scored 45 seconds into the game for the Otters (14-14-2-0).

Sarnia is 5-0 at Tullio Arena under former Otters coach Dave MacQeen, who coached Erie from 1999 to 2006 and led the Otters to and OHL title in the 2001-02 season.
