Smoskowitz scores two goals to lead Steelheads over Erie Otters 4-1 @NHL

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. - Dylan Smoskowitz scored a pair of goals to lead the Mississauga Steelheads to a 4-2 victory over the Erie Otters in Sunday's Ontario Hockey League tilt at the Hershey Centre.

Dylan DeMelo and Kristoff Kontos each had a goal and an assist for Mississauga (11-4-1), winners of five straight.

Connor Brown scored the lone goal for Erie (4-11-3), which has lost five straight.

Tyson Teichmann made 21 saves for the Steelheads while Devin Williams stopped 48 shots for the Otters.

After a scoreless first period, Mississauga jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the second on back-to-back markers from Smoskowitz and another from DeMelo.

The Steelheads went 2-for-6 on the power play while Erie finished 1-for-5.
