Silvertips dominate with man advantage in 7-3 rout of Winter Hawks

EVERETT, Wash. - The Everett Silvertips took advantage of early power plays, cruising to a 7-3 victory over the Portland Winter Hawks on Wednesday in WHL action.

Everett was awarded the game's first five power plays, scoring on three of them to take control of the game. The Silvertips led 7-1 before Portland scored a pair of late consolation goals.

Campbell Elynuik, with his first WHL goal, Byron Froese, Zack Dailey, Chris de la Lande, Shane Harper, Tyler Parker and Daniel Bartek also scored for Everett.

Thomas Heemskerk made 15 saves for the Silvertips (25-26-7-2).

Sawyer Mick, Chris Francis and Troy Rutkowski scored for Portland (15-39-2-2).
