Shanahan to announce first 6 All-Stars on NHL Live! @NHLdotcom
Brendan Shanahan, the NHL's Vice President of Hockey and Business Development, will open NHL Live! Tuesday at noon ET with the announcement of the first six All-Stars voted by fans to compete at the 2011 All-Star Game presented by Discover, which will be played Jan. 30 at Carolina.

Atlanta Thrashers forward Evander Kane also will be on Tuesday's show, scheduled from noon-2 p.m. ET on NHL Network and, and broadcast on XM Radio.

Kane, 19, ranks fourth on the Thrashers in scoring with 26 points (13 goals, 13 assists), The Vancouver native was Atlanta's first-round pick (No. 4) at the 2009 Entry Draft.

Also slated to appear with hosts Don La Greca and Bill Clement are Carolina Hurricanes forward Erik Cole, USA Today's Kevin Allen and Versus analyst Keith Jones.
