Shalla's three-points leads Saginaw Spirit to 5-2 win over Owen Sound Attack @NHLdotcom

SAGINAW, Mich. - Josh Shalla led Saginaw with a goal and two assists as the Spirit beat the Owen Sound Attack 5-2 in Ontario Hockey League play Saturday night.

Michael Kantor scored and added an assist for Saginaw (21-16-4), while Barry Sanderson, Vincent Trocheck and Anthony Camara also chipped in. Michael Sgarbossa and Joe Underwood each had a pair of assists.

Garrett Wilson and Marcus Carroll scored and Roman Berdnikov contributed two assists for Owen Sound (19-21-4).

The Attack out-shot Saginaw 45-24, but the Spirit received sound goaltending from Edward Pasquale who turned aside 43 shots.

Scott Stajcer started for Owen Sound but lasted only 6:26, after giving up three goals on five shots. Jordan Binnington replaced him and registered 16 saves on 19 shots.

Both teams scored a power play goal as Saginaw was 1-for-4 and Owen Sound went 1-for-8.
