Shalla gets hat trick, Telegin extends point streak as Spirit bury Bulls 8-3 @NHLdotcom

SAGINAW, Mich. - Josh Shalla scored three goals and added an assist to help power the Saginaw Spirit to an 8-3 win over the Belleville Bulls on Saturday night in the Ontario Hockey League.

Barry Sanderson, Jordan Skellett, Jordan Szwarz, Garrett Ross and Joe Pleckaitis all scored for the Spirit. Tyler Morovich and Ivan Telegin - who ran his point streak to eight games - had two assists each for Saginaw (6-2-1), which outshot Belleville 48-32.

Shawn Lalonde, Tyler Taylor and Adam Payerl scored for Belleville (3-5-1) and Steven Strong contributed two assists.

Spirit goaltender Edward Pasquale picked up his second win of the weekend, making 29 saves.

The Bulls used both goaltenders, Tyson Teichman and Phillip Grubauer, but neither had success stopping the Spirit.
